Naa, he's **** stirring me a I used to use OAT.

My last of the Tdi's came with it (and the Cold Climate PAS fluid)

BTW, love the spark plugs in a diesel, wonder thye didn't bill you for a carby clean/overhaul and a set of points and a condenser

Thanks lads. I considered my options given it was 7.30 at night,
I reached for the only one on the shelf. Permatex aviation form a gasket No 3. Hopefully it will do the job.

My old disco leaked like sieve from that spot , I replaced gaskets and tried all different sealants (it ended up being a quick job after i did it that many times) without any luck .
The final straw saw me remove the big alloy housing and lay it on a flat piece of glass with bearing blue on it . The thing was warped to all buggery . spent a hour or so with a file then rub stone , got it all tru and put in a new gasket without anything on it and it was still leak free after another 100K km's.
    Hope this helps

And that's exactly what I'll end up doing, the metal gasket should seal without a sealant........
