Hi all,
I'm looking to get a pair of the rear defender gull wing doors that replace the rear windows. I want the full metal doors not the 3/4 glass type.
Can anyone point me in the right direction. It's father day soon so dropping the seeds already lol.
Cheers,
Nino.

I fitted the mulgo glass type just before a recent central Australia trip. As we moved camp almost every day these windows made packing and unpacking a lot easier.
I'm very happy we bought them.
I originally wanted the alloy type to avoid risk of breakage. But glass is better when your trying to find something. I'm happy we chose glass.

I want them for the access to the rear bins I have. When the back is packed up for touring its a pain to access the rear.
And if I'm honest, I like the look.
Cheers
Nino.
I got mine from Mulgo. Very happy with them, and Mulgo supplies additional fitting instructions.
I fitted a solid one to the RHS (DS) and a glass one to the LHS for better visibility. I am happy with my choice, but 2 solids would be good too.
I got two glass ones, and now that we are packing for our trip it makes it so easy to access the rear. We have put the fridge facing the RH side, and now we can access the fridge without having to climb inside.
I have had them tinted very dark, so the bad guys can't see what is inside the back so easily, and I've fitted some heat insulation ( foil bubble wrap) on the inside for this trip to keep the heat off the fridge and decrease the load on the a/c.
I highly recommend them, should be something LR thought of.
Hi Nino,
Difficult to see on your avatar whether its a 110 or 90.
In a 90 I would definitely go glass as the guys suggested, purely due to visibility. I drove 90 Hard Tops for many years and if an intersection is any "flatter" than 90 degrees you really struggle to see oncoming traffic over your left shoulder.
A 110 is obviously less critical, but the Mulgo doors are really worth the money spent. Opposite Lock sells the Dolium (Front Runner) ones if you choose to go solid metal.
Cheers,
Lou
