    Puma resonance

    Hi All,

I've had my puma for about 18 months or so and have noticed a strange resonance coming from what feels like the left front.

It happens at around 63km/h with engine accelerating ie revs climbing. It almost feels like mud terrain tyres vibration. Does any one else have this or am I lucky??

    Running standard Contis at 35psi.

    Cheers
    Mal

Have a Puma now but had a Disco II before. With the Disco, had a vibration problem that came in about 70ish and disappeared about 90 ish Kmh.
Stuffed around for weeks looking for it, took a few tyre people for a drive as well no one could pick it. I finally found a patch of mud on the inside of the rims, when I washed it I hadn't done the full circle, it wasn't a lot about 1/4 of the rim at 5-6 mm thick.

As to pressure my puma's plate shows 30 on the front and 48 in the rear. I run mine at 38 on the front and 48 on the rear but have had no problems, only 8K on the clock though.

Hope it's something simple for you.

Could be intercooler hose rubbing on the steering shaft? Look for a polished shaft near where the intercooler hose runs.
