    What colour is this Deefer?

Well the time has come to start painting the County

I decided I'd get all sentimental and paint it the same colour as my first Defender. Below is a photo. I found out I can trace it through the VIN but unfortunately I no longer have a copy of the VIN

According to this website 1997 Land Rover Paint Codes and Color Samples | Unique Cars and Parts there is a chance it could be "Arles Blue". But this is for Defenders built in '97, mine was a '94.

So can anyone confirm this colour is Arles Blue? Or can I borrow someones (who owns an early model blue Defender) VIN to send to Landrover so I can get a paint code?

    Thanks

My 1989 LR90 was originally blue. It is now green on the outside but the original paint is still visible on the interior panels and looks a lot like the colour in your photo.

I have a certified copy of the factory record here which shows it rolled of the production line in 'Shire Blue'

    Edit:
    The correct answer.
paint code LRC.392 /JUG. paint name Shire Blue. years used 88-89
paint code LRC.424 /JUH. paint name Arles Blue, years used 90-97.

It is Arles Blue/Windjammer Blue. My D1 is the same colour. Have never seen another D1 the same colour as I believe it is a Deefer colour. LRC424. Hope the above makes sense as I have drunk several hundred rums.

Fantastic effort. I often look back on my post drinking posts with a cringe!

Btw, I love that colour I also love the red from the same era. Good work
