Aftermarket central locking & front door locks..

Does anyone know how to circumvent the accidental lock provision that I have on my '95 110? I have to press the button on the handle and push the lock down which is all well and good until you introduce a central locking actuator into the scheme of things.

The rod I want to attach it too will not move when the button is not depressed...

I see others have had great success with this but hear no mention of the button mechanism getting in the way

 Am I missing something obvious?

					Hi
I have just fitted remote central locking to my 96 130, the button issue is only a problem when the door is open, when the door is closed it all works fine.
And while fitting I just operated the lock mechanism with a screwdriver to simulate the door being closed, just need to release by pulling on the inner handle.

 Hope that helps

 Phil

					Ah geez!

Thanks Philandmickey. I'm now bashing my head on the desk because one of the issues I have is hitting the lock while driving with my elbow...

 Occam's Razor springs to mind!
