front parkers on with brakes 98 110

of the cover don't know how long this has been happening for, any input
    would be greatly appreciated cheers

1 word....Earthing. When there is high resistance for the earth path in the normal wiring it will often seek out the next best and park lamps are a very common side effect. It is proably due to the low wattage bulbs in parkers that do it. The melted rear tail light bulb holder is most likely the cause. replace and check. Then clean all the bulb holders as they are prone to bad contacts/ becoming loose etc. and clean and reseat all the earthing points to the body.

what he said - you see a similar thing on trailers, a X-Mas tree effect when people put their brakes on and the lights are trying to earth through eachother.

X3. Almost certainly an earthing issue.
