			Cracked fuel tank vent line

Has anyone had to change their fuel tank vent line, the one that goes from the tank to the side of the filler neck. Mine is cracking badly at the filler end and has signs of cracking at the tank end. Looks very difficult to replace without removing the tank. I don't want to do that because it looks like a mongrel of a job. Any good news would be great. The Defender only 4 years old.

					Skoller,

Just had to have mine done (out of warranty).

It is a mongrel of a job apparently, with the tank having to come out.

Total cost via dealer was just shy of $400.

I am going to tackle mine. I probally can drop the fuel tank a little so I can get better access to the inside connection and use new hose and stainless hose clamps. I am sure it wont be easy to undo the inner clamp but I will eventually get it.
