Hi Volton,
Pre Puma Defenders have under dash air con, that seriously compromises the leg room for the front seat passenger.
Pre Defender 110's and presumably 90's and Puma Defenders have proper integrated air con.

Voltron, your no alone, over half the good folk I camp with regularly wished they had a 130 instead of their 110's. They love there accessorised 110, but can see the advantage of space and utility of a 130. Tray backs preferred over the style side. It's more about practicality than looks. With touring families, and also daily requirements of a growing family you need space.

as for car park friendly, just revers park, no problems.

Voltron, I get where you're coming from. I thought long and hard about getting a 130 , but in the end went with a 110. I needed payload and off road performance, so selected a 110 HCPU optioned for heavy duty. With a lower kerb weight than the 130 its rated to a slightly higher payload. And of course the tray is longer.

Because of where I live I needed really good off road performance and thought the longer wheelbase would compromise that.

At first I thought the 130's rather ugly but to be honest I now really like the look of them, they're so distinctive and unique. Although I'd never trade Hector I'm forced to admit my views on the 130 have completely changed and I'm not sure if I'd make the same decision again.

Go the 130s!

130's look good with portal axles, but then so does a 110.........so many things on the wish list and so little $$$$ to play with.

I think what you stated is the whole reason my view has changed. Once you start using it, onlt then you start to see the advantages of alot of things for eg. When I saw the gullwing windows and the cost, I thought that was a ridiculous price for a window that opens outwards but once I started using the car and camping, it all came together and then you see all the benefits the 130 has that you didnt see before. Then guys do them up really well and it just rubs salt into the wounds.
