    Question Intermittent rattle noise when idling

    Hi all,

    Over the last couple of days i have noticed my MY12 90 has a rattle which sounds like it is coming from near the gearbox whilst the vehicle is idling. When i place my foot on the clutch the rattle goes way. It only seems to happen when i am on flat ground when i am parking or in the garage etc. At the traffic lights i have not had it happen. Also, the noise can only be heard from inside the cab or if you crawl under whilst the vehicle is parked.

    I forgot to add, there is no noticeable difference in driving since the rattle.

    Does anyone have any ideas? I am not very mechanically minded. I will be booking it into the dealer next week for them to have a look/fix.

    After an hour of "internet research" i believe the clutch springs may be faulty and need replacing...

    well done working it out!

    it is a problem that you wouldn't neccesarily be in a rush to fix, but since I think it would be under warranty it should be something LR would address hopefully without fuss.
