Think that's what Tombie is saying the car, engine and the oil gets a shake down and run on the assembly line once assembled
Wasteful practice in modern engines.
And if the company had the slightest concern that swarf was running around something they have to warranty for 3yrs / 100k they would change it :)
Std practise 20 yrs ago was oil at 3k...
Manufacturing techniques, line running tests etc are far different. It's run on the bench with an oil feed, then shaken down at the end of the line.
Filtration takes care of the rest...
