						Hi ,
During the last summer my TD5 was smoking white/blue when accelerating and the fuel consumption increased comparing to the last winter, It was making 7.5-8 KPL in winter time and decreased to 6-6.5 KPL in summer maybe due to the white smoke that means ( As I know ) more fuel or less air .
So now when the climate start to cold I noticed that the white smoke start to cutback and the KPL is almost back to make 7 KPL and I'm expecting to reach more in the comming colder weather ! .
MAF sensor already in a good shape I also tried in the summer to CLEAN the sensor in the airbox , What other sensors or failure tht I should look after this problem ?
Regards,

The whole purpose of an "Inter Cooler" the lower the temp of air going in, the more efficient the motor (ie more HP for the same amount of fuel). So, better running in winter than summer.
Erm no there shouldn't be a noticeable difference between summer and winter, the 'inter cooler' is used to cool the air, colder air is denser with more oxygen, the ECU sees these temperatures and adjusts the fuel/air mix accordingly. Thus it's essential the ECU sees the right information.

SubscriberBlack smoke is the normal colour for over fueling. White Blue smoke is normally unburnt fuel, which is not going to happen on a warm engine, or an oil leak at the turbo.
