    Tekonsha P3 in Defender

    Hi all,
I'm fitting a Tek P3 to my Defender tomorrow. Two questions. 1. Does anyone have any photos of where they placed a Tek P3 in a 99 Defender and 2. The wiring diagram says to connect directly to the pos battery. Should it go via the ignition switch first or directly to the battery pos terminal?
Any help, as usual greatly appreciated.

    Nino.

    P3

Hello, can,t help with position as I fitted one to my falcon ute last week but you do wire direct to the battery posts with a circuit breaker on the live wire. The unit goes into standby mode if not connected to a trailer. Regards John

I put mine on the front face of the centre console, Ive found it to be a great place for it as I can finely adjust the brakes as I need to without searching around for the unit. From memory it went straight to the battery, never had an issue with it sapping power

    Tekonsha P3

    Hi all,
I fitted the P3 this weekend. No real problems except the usual issues with regards to where to run the wiring in a Defender.
Kerry and I picked up our new Camper and my first thoughts are why did I not have brakes on our old Camper!! The P3 work very well and it's so easy to use.
I'm very happy with the placement, it's just to the left of the handbrake and doesn't get in the why at all. This was my first concern but thanks to your replies I ran with this position and it's worked out well.
Anyone want to by a second hand Camper?!!!!!

    Cheers for all the replies

    Nino.
