fuel guage help
hi
on a recent trip to fraser island my fuel gauge gave up on me
it made the trip a bit of a pain with the gauge on empty and warning light on, every time i looked at it i thought i was running out of fuel
anyway i have checked all the fuses and they all check out ok
so is it my sender ?
any checks i can make before i send it somewhere to be looked at
cheers

If you can get to the connector at the sender unit at the tank and bridge the 2 wires going to the gauge and it reading full it's safe to say you have a sensor issue if nothing happens the wiring will need to be tested and if the wiring is ok you have a gauge issue.
Hope it helps ya mate
