I have a century deep cycle/start batt in the disco and its a cracker. In the defender I have two n70 sized bats running lenth ways down the battery box so should fit
Hi all,
I know this topic has been covered, but i couldnt find anything particular to these two batteries.
I am wanting to get the following two batteries
N70ZZL4WD
Century N70ZZL4WD Hi Performance
Length 305mm x Width 172mm x Height 225mm
and
C12-100DA
Century C12-100DA Deep Cycle - AGM
Length 306.5mm x Width 168.5mm x Height 235mm
They are roughly the same size, but will they both fit in the battery box, if turned 90° the the orientation of the original?
Thanks

I have the C12-100DA with original cranking battery.
I'm 90% sure it will fit once I raise the original battery 25mm and move it over a bit closer to the door.
90% because I haven't got around to it yet
I haven't figured out how to secure them... vaguely thinking of using those "belt" style ratchet strap things...![]()
I have 2 N70s in mine, mounted east west. I ended up cutting the outer bottom of the battery compartment and welding in a squared off corner to enable them to sit a little further outboard and saved disturbing all the AC wiring. I felt raising the batteries would put the terminals way too close to the hatch also.
I've got a N70 and one of these:

Mounted east-west on a raised spacer. Too high to fit the battery box lid and don't think I could get them in if I had A/C relays etc in the battery box.
