    Stainless bore clutch master cylinder?

Im chasing the details for a chap in QLD who does a modified 1" clutch master cylinder, specifically with a stainless bore? its for a 300tdi defender.

I do remember seeing his details around 12 months ago when mine originally went, but then deciding i needed it the next day i ordered a ****partâ„¢ one instead. Fast forward 12 months and ill just go with "lesson learned"

I have tried searching but it wasnt successfull, hence the post.

The only other hint i can give is i believe his first name was Bill or Bob or maybe even BillyBob?

    Cheers,
    Dan

Cant help with the bloke you are chasing, but it would be more common for a master cylinder to be stainless sleeved rather than chromed.
Any decent clutch/brake place should be able to help you with that.

places that do marine trailers sometimes carry stainless sleeved M/C's.

usually they are a direct bolt up fit.

Most brake places can get your old one re-sleeved.
Fred Smith Landrovers in Bayswater, VIC used to carry them in stock. He got a standard cheapy and sent it away for re-sleeving. The only part you had to use from your original was the pushrod.
Cost was about $120 last time I got one.

I got one from Fred Smith several months ago - he still does them and they're still $120 + postage.

After 2 attempts at supplying a PBR MC that didn't leak and left with a MC that leaked after 4 mths into the booster and stuffed that as well I won't be going back there.

Shame I understand they had a good reputation.
