    Question New Defender Purchase...Security Card?

We took delivery of our new Defender around a month ago, & as I was reading through the manual recently, I noticed that it made mention of a "Security Card", which contains details of the vehicle's emergency key access code (EKA), radio s/n & key details etc.
I never got one. Should I have? What about you other new Defender owners..did you get one?
    Cheers, Pickles.

Funnily enough, I just read the same section of the manual a couple of weeks ago. Called into Blacklocks in Wodonga where we bought it and asked them for the magic numbers, now waiting on a email from them with the details.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I always thought it is stamped on the silver plate in the key ring

I picked mine up in July and noticed I didn't get one then either.

The salesperson told me it was the number on the key, however I was told by the service advisor that the number on the silver tag is to reorder the key or remote (I'd guess more likely the remote).

I will be asking the advisor about it when I get the next/first service done.

The number on the silver tag is not the EKA code. That's the number you need to order a new key + fob I believe.

The EKA code is a four digit code used to start the car in an emergency when the fob is lost or has a flat battery etc. and you have the key. It might also be handy in the Wallan services type scenario were the fob can't talk to the ECU.

So, No-one got a "Security Card"?

It's a pull out section in your manual - ypu can get the numbers off the dealer and fill it out yourself.

the details should be on page 4 of the Online service history &Warranty and benefits booklet...my EKA and Radio security code was not completed by the dealer...just sent the dealer a quick e-mail...
The EKA code appears to be important after reading the manual more carefully.
