I have new 110 calipers to fit to a D1, they came in box no markings so I do not know which is left or right, normal for me. Can someone tell me if the bleed is on the front or the back so I can put them on the correct side please. It may not matter but they are sold as left and right.
Regards. Ackie.

Thanks for answers although I had to find out the hard way. I put them on then realised if the nipple is on the bottom it is hard to get at with the tie rod end in the way. I do not believe there is any difference in the caliper as such, it can go on either way.
Regards Ackie.

I guess the bleed nipple is at top so the air bubble can rise during bleeding. I also think there are left and right calipers as there are different part and casting numbers for them.
Please keep us informed on the improvements to your braking, including what size tyres you are running; will the calipers still fit inside a 15 inch rim or will they need to be 16 inch?
Are you using your existing discs or did you have to change them also?
Many thanks,
Lee

The idea was to upgrade my solid discs on a 94 disco. I replaced them with DBA 4,000 series T3 vented discs, Defender calipers which have 5 mm larger pistons and green stuff calipers, all fitted OK.
The clearance from the caliper to the wheel is about 12 mm so it may be a bit tight for a 15" wheel. If my son ever decides to visit (he will when he needs something) we will try one of his wheels (this may be a long time) and I will report back.
From original question/answer I could not wait and had to fit it. I had a 50% chance of getting it fight, unfortunately I chose the 50% chance of getting it wrong and mounted the calipers up the wrong way. It will not take long to swap them around.
There may be pictures attached, if I can get it to work.
