New condensor fan fitted aircon is working better than ever for some reason . Very happy with the service from Austral motors in Brisbane they managed to fit me in without a booking and were a great help even charged up my dual battery so the fridge freezer kept running. The guy from Rover assist in Caloundra was good to arrived within the hour and cleared the error code. All up cost me nothing more than a hire car for 24 hrs . On our way South and then back over to Perth.

No surprise but the LC Workmate has issues too - rear diff and gearbox to just name 2, and its a lot more expensive to fix these 2 items on a LC compared to the LR. I looked at the Workmate and given that it would cost me 20k more, be less comfortable, less economical on fuel and dearer (would you believe!) to maintain I went the Defender. Plus 20k in the bank to cover costs???? nah - I spent the savings on optioning up........

Yeah, I don't think the TLC is a bad rig, but I think it would be a fool's errand to think it would be the problem solving solution - seems like they have quite a few issues (probably no more the most) but the owners don't talk about them much!

    MAF engine light fixed!!!

    I had exactly same problem.
Lost power engine lights on. Computer says MAF sensors wrong. Got new sensor still the same

Eventually find out the problem was cracked intercooler. Brought a new high performance intercooler not more issues after installation. Test on highway as well.

Guys. Don’t waste time and money on the sensor. Get the intercooler out and do a inspection.
