Slipping Clutch 300Tdi
Hi all,
I have a 130 defender ute, 300tdi with extra horsepower, hence bigger turbo & intercooler running 22psi boost. The clutch is a sportsman exceedy clutch which is slipping, has anybody out there fitted a heavy / stronger clutch to there ride. Clutch is only 4000km old & yes there are NO oil leaks.
Cheers Bob

Hi Bob,
have you checked the clutch adjustment?
There should be a small amount of freeplay at the M/C pushrod if there is any constant pressure with the pedal at rest the clutch can tend to slip.
This is adjusted with the nuts either side of the pedal trunnion.
A couple of mm is enough.
Cheers,
Paul.
