big pane in the glass

Driving home along freeway from Torquay to Melbourne this afternoon with both front windows open when I heard an almighty crack. Looked in the rear vision mirror to see the central back window completely shattered!

Hadn't seen any visible flaws, was during under a bridge at the time, not sure if coincidence or not.

I was wondering two things, firstly has anyone else had something like this happen before? Secondly, wondering what my options are for replacement? Do places like O'Brien's do defender rear windows? Expensive to go through dealer I expect?

These things happen i guess. The worst part of the drive was the lack of defenders to wave to!
