Don't worry, if you can't change the specs, it's not an issue, because the Dealer can fit them (the same item), with exactly the same end result.

That's what I thought originally, then the dealer told me though that the factory fitted ones were better/stronger and would work out cheaper than getting them as a spare part. I'm glad you've confirmed my initial thoughts, thanks. I'll probably get the LandyBitz ones then :)
That Dealer is talking nonsense. I'm a big wrap for O.E., so I made sure that the end result of Dealer Fit & Factory Fit was exactly the same, and it was, for this item anyway.
I'm (We) pretty happy with the single rail OE side runners,...very good for getting in & out of our 90,......others on here would say that many aftermarket items are much stronger, and they probably are, but the OE items that we have are ideal for our use.

Sounds good, I was going to point you in the direction of a highly specced order that I just cancelled in case yours couldn't be changed, but it's a 110 rather than a 90. There was still a few 90 orders around when I scrambled last week to replace mine, I hope you manage to get what you're after. I'll let you know what my dealer says anyway regarding the changes.
Thanks, I'm a bit surprised as he seemed very knowledgeable otherwise. Good to know I can add them later anyway if I decide on those ones. They're mainly for getting in and out, but a little more side impact protection never goes astray, in case the airbags don't work ;)
I saw recently in the corresponding thread on Defender2 the LR representative said that the last orders were taken 25/6/15, but the order page on the dealer system here for mine says it was placed in July; anyone have any insights here? I had a horrible feeling my order would fall through again!
That's interesting. I ordered my 110 a couple of weeks ago now and fortunately got my specs through in time (or at least I haven't heard anything to suggest otherwise). I was told I could make changes up until around 2 weeks before production, which was going to be November/December sometime. Not that I want any changes made.
I guess I don't have to think about it now.
Just heard back from my dealer. They confirmed that, effective now, specs on Defenders that have been ordered scheduled for build till end of production cannot be changed EXCEPT for colour.
I have requested the black pack be added to by Dec build order this morning so Ill let you know if it gets rejected!
