Information please if you are using a Rijidij Wheel Carrier on Defender 110

I have ordered a Wheel Carrier from Murray at Rijidij Off Road (very helpful). But my question is if you have a Rijidij Wheel Carrier on your Defender, what is the distance from the back door skin to the outside of the tyre (assuming it is a fairly standard tyre)?

I have to solve this to sort out a bike rack. The location/distance of the tow ball centre under the tyre may give me some problems I suspect for a ball mounted bike rack. If I use the 2inch square bar type to go into the towbar hitch, the length of the bar on the bike rack insert may be the issue as well.

So if you have a Rijidij wheel carrier and a tow bar with a ball I would love to know the dimensions if you have time. I think the spare wheel will be about 125mm further out than the standard door mount spare wheel.

I would like this dimension confirmed (or even a good estimate) or even a dimension similar to the picture if possible. This will get me moving on the bike rack question before my wheel carrier arrives in April.

    Regards Brad

Can't help directly with your question, but I know Murray was working on a bike rack attachment for the wheel carrier at one point.
If you don't already have a bike carrier, that might be a good option.

I've had towbar mounted bike carriers with rear opening doors, and personally find them to be a PITA. There's always something you need to open the rear door for once you've put the bikes on!!

Get an ISI rack, best around and works fine with the Rijidij carrier.

Can't help with your question... we have the towbar-type, but haven't used it on the Defender. I'm looking to try and modify it shortly to make it fit TO the spare wheel carrier... (Kaymar, similar to yours).
