Getting 12v power to and from the roof rack

Hi all, just have a quick question about how people have got power to the roof rake on there defenders for solar, lights, ect.
As I'm not to keen on drilling a hole in the roof, I was thinking maybe coming up the inside in the snorkel then along the gutter then up onto the roof rake?????
Anyone got any good ideas on this????????

Yep, via the snorkel is the way to go. Just be sure to seal up where the wire exits the ducting.

SikaFlex is your friend.....a very messy friend but your friend nether the less !

From the air ducting, in the engine bay, I would run the wires (in conduit) underneath the the D'fer , directly to battery box, under the passengers seat (depending on your model).

Is there already a grommet feeding wires from the engine bay into the back of the dashboard? Mine is on the passenger side behind the washer bottle and enters the cabin behind the glovebox, which has to be removed to get access, but I have a D1 so yours may be different. Just a thought.

This is exactly what I did. I ran the wires for the roof lights from under the bonnet gap at the rear of the bonnet along the bulk head and up the inside of the snorkel. No problems.

    Cheers.
