Thread: Worried

My 97 Defender 130 has developed a worrying growl , it only happens intermittently , and always seems to be under no load conditions .
The growl seems to come from the passengers front area , hard to pinpoint as it always takes me by surprise . Seems to happen briefly when clutch is in changing gear at low speeds , and a couple of times it has been more prolonged [ a few seconds ] while coasting in neutral , foot off the clutch , again at low speed . particularly worrying as I am hoping to leave on a long trip end of this week towing the boat . Any advice would be greatly appreciated .

Yeah , I'm getting some tomorrow , can't see any problem just by looking and turning , but it has been a while so I will do them all to eliminate one possibility .
