Hey, i saw my new best mate first !
I thought we would lure him into buying a Defender first and then ravage his vineyard.

But it's open slather PM me too, dying of curiosity and thirst. I was sort of hoping for Hensche, but the terrain is wrong, sure it's excellent however.
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
    apologies to Socrates

    Clancy MY15 110 Defender

Clancy's gone to Queensland Rovering, and we don't know where he are

I haven't mentioned the name yet....better make sure I follow protocol and take out the right membership before going down that path. Once our new website and '09 Barossa Valley Shiraz is launched I'll let everyone know about it. Perhaps an AULRO mates rate can be setup. I'll be in touch with anyone who wants me to PM them about it shortly too. I still need to book bottling dates and to be honest get a lot of work done in a short amount of time before I can offer it out properly.

Not quite Henschke, we're a fair bit smaller and less known but equally serious about quality. Their Lenswood vineyard is close to ours and I went to college with Johann, great fella.

You know your comment about the RR Chardonnay got me thinking. Our Chardonnay vineyard is in the Piccadilly Valley, specifically at Basket Range........see where I'm heading with this one?

Yesterday a mate of mine who knows I love Defenders called me up to say he was test driving the local dealer's 90 series. We took it for a blast and what a cracker, it's actually quite quick for a car with only 90KW. Not practical enough for me but still fantastic. He's got a 2 year old Navara with the 170KW V6 diesel and is likely to trade it in after that test drive.

    Going Deaf,....all good mate.
If you've got a good red on the go, the word will soon get around, BUT, if it ain't so good, the word will also "get around".
Count me in for a case.

I'll do a case of that Shiraz. PM me when you're ready for more details. You will love the 110, as a farm vehicle you may be better off with a 130 just for the additional payload and tray. I have a 110 wagon with 300 tdi, not a speed daemon but great fun to get out in.

    Howdy,

we did a quick photo shoot (with a 90 demo car) at our vineyard in the Adelaide Hills a few days ago if anyone would like a look. It's much steeper in the flesh than the pictures make out and there are some very boggy sections at the valley bottom which the 90 powered through. A lot of fun and no issue whatsoever going down steep hills too fast, first gear low range was slower than walking.

    Cheers
