    110 Rock Sliders CAD File

    G'day all,

A while ago (2008) there was a thread started in the general chat section about starting a database with CAD files for Landrover accessories, i.e. rock sliders, sill tanks etc, however it appears that it never proceeded forward.

I have a friend who is going to make me some up, out of 75x100 rhs, it is 100 wide so it can be used as a step aswell, and also they will be used to air tanks.

So my question is, does anybody have a cad file for their sliders?, i am particularly interested in the mounting system.

    Cheers

I made some sliders for my 130 out of 50 by 100.

I did the mounting bracket design on solidworks. You could adapt my design for bigger RHS and Im assuming the 130 outriggers are the same on a 110 just different spacing

What pressure are you intending to charge the slider "air tank"? Would be cautious if building an air receiver for obvious reasons

PM if you want the solidworks file for the brackets

I've got access to a range of welders, and everything needed to fab something like this up, and thought it would be an awesome project.
The mounting brackets are the hard part though.
I want mine to replace the sill, to retain break-over angle clearance. Being able to jack the vehicle off them is a must, so need to tie it into the chassis outriggers.
Don't have access to solidworks, but even a screen cap, or some rough measurements would be a great help. I'm sure most of the info can easily be adapted between 90, 110 and 130?

Yeah, exactly what i want to do too. Unfortunately i am not so good with a welder, but my friend it

After some feedback from other members and some searching, i have decided not to use them as an air tank, due to safety reasons.

Pretty sure I started the thread way back when.........a member on here created a file in solid works for me, big questions is do I still have the file. I doubt it as it was in my ore apple days. I will PM hime to see if a copy still exists.

My sliders are functional with very simple brackets, they just bolt onto the end of the outriggers and are quite solid. You could easily ad some tube to fend off trees/rocks and use it as a step. I have used a high-lift on them and lifted the defender.

That would be great if you would be able to get the file again.

It likes like it could be for a 90, as most 110 and 130 ones i have seen have 3 points that mount to the chassis
