Just wondering if anyone has mounted an air compressor under the driver side wing fake vent cover? The little ARB one I have slips in there just fine but would need to fabricate a bracket.
There is not a lot of room to do these things elsewhere in a 90
Thanks

Hi Mate
Hope the trip went well, you missed a good run last weekend. I mounted something about the size of an air comp inside the guard under the fake cover. There is a hole or bolt for memory that I utilised to mount it ( plus another one I drilled from underneath. I also mounted the relay just under the cover for easy access. Works well. P.S. Haven't seen too many pics of the new 90 build yet??
Cheers Ian

There is an answer as to why you havent seen any progress
1. Been in Cairns since March
2. See photos taken at weekend, there is a lot more than what is on top of the benches too
3. Winch bar is fitted though, I have moved the winch control box and fitted a light bar and the winch now has bolts holding it in place

I have 3 weeks after the Springs to get it all fitted up, should manage some more before but will see how we go
I will also have a look at mounting it near the heater near the heater as could fit the winch control box under the vent

No, but I put my winch solenoid brick up behind the headlight , high and dry and tidy, and away from the hoods !
I have mine mounted under rear seat left hand side right near the door.
Great spot as it is well ventilated and easy access for attaching air hose.
No need to pop the bonnet either.
Plus it's central for airing up as hose reaches all four corners.
Food for thought

In theory that under bonnet location should not get too wet or dusty, but that is only the theory.
Can I assume you already have a dual battery setup under the passenger seat?
If not I have my compressor sitting next to the battery, nice and snug so no bolts or drilling required.
Battery box is / will be full with the 2nd battery, the 3rd battery will be behing the passenger seat
Alas i dont have rear seats as is only the 90
I dont mind popping the bonnet for the rare occassion I need a compressor so thats my preferred route I think
I will also be fitting one of Daniels Exbox's so the vehicle wiring was meant to be routed to there and out from the driver side where the air compressor was going to be but have decided not to molest the original wiring as will have enough in there without it
I was thinking of putting the winch control box in there and just have the connector popping out the front but not to sure now, I have both wired and remote for the winch as well as an isolator so not overly worried about misuse just all those little Amps running through the cubby box
Still have a lot to do and with these ideas it may still change,
Thanks and keep them coming

Does the compressor fit under the driver's seat with the fuses etc still in place?
If not, moving the fuses etc in to the exbox may allow you to get the compressor under the driver's seat.
It may fit, I will have a look when I get home in a few weeks
