    Roof rack recommendations for a 110

    Hi all

    I am looking for recommendations for an easy-to-remove and put-back-on set of roof racks.

    Ideally I am also after the lowest profile option available as well.

    I will need the racks to help me transport a racing ski down to the river for a paddle but during the week I need to get into a work car park that I will literally only just squeeze into without racks!

    It's not exactly urgent. I've ordered a new 110 and will hopefully be getting it in September.

    Appreciate any recommendations.

    I have a wind cheater from dolium.....nice and low and manageable by yourself. Stay away from the steel racks.

    Another vote for the frontrunner. I got mine from Mulgo. I don't take it off but I put it on myself with some careful lifting and use of a towel to protect the roof. Mines a 1.6 metres

    Front Runner Roof Rack

    X3 for the Front Runner. Very happy with it. I've got the 2.8 metre. Much lighter than the old steel tradesman rack. I needed something to transport a kayak and get into the car park at work. I can get under 2.1 metres without anything on the roof. But it's close!

    There'd be nothing wrong with a set of Rhino Heavy Duty bars for what you've described. Very happy with mine and very easy to fit and remove on your own.

    I saw the front runner and thought it looked good.

    Also the car park at work is 2.1m so it is looking like a very good option!

    I'd go Rhino bars too. Very easy to fit by one person, and to make it extra quick I cut the allen key thing up and mount it in a battery drill.
    You could have a pair of rhino bars for so much less than any other rack new and there are a great many attachments for them to suit bikes, skis, kayaks etc

    I haven't had much experience with the Rhino racks on Defenders but I have a set on my Outback. Mostly ok but all of the plastic bits are suffering from noticeable UV damage having been left on the car for two years.
