Puma 110 Child Restraint Seat Back Clips

    Hi

Being new to the forum, please bare with me. I am on the lookout for a Puma 110. A main consideration is to have, or to add child restraint anchors. I know there are threads on child restraints - I've read them - but they all seem to relate to CRAB bars. For me, these don't seem practical given I intend to utilise the full wagon space regularly and the bar seems obtrusive for these purposes.

I came across these child restraint seat back clips when browsing car sales (pics from car sales ad). Short of asking the guy selling the vehicle (which I won't be doing out of courtesy), can anyone point me in the direction of such a product?

    Thanks

    Tim

There is are two engineering place in Sydney who do this one wanted to charge me 2.5k and the other was Comptune which charged 1k. That was for a 2005 110 though. I did not go ahead though as I did not end up needing them

Puma 110 Child Restraint Seat Back Clips

Thanks, Steve. Will check out CompTune and see what the go is. I should have mentioned I'm in the Melbourne area. I wonder if CompTune liaise with any Melbourne companies.

Thanks also, Muddy. If the seat back clips are all too hard then the CRAB bar option might be it. Any further details on who, where, how much?

    Cheers

    Where are you located?

    Different states have different legislation.

Welcome to Australia - why have one rule when seven will do?

I have a crab bar, cost 390 about 4 years ago and is good, but the comptune ones look better and at 600 extra IMHO would be worth it as it's a pain to undo the bolts to pack long items. I saw the comptune fitted to a defender when I picked up an ex box from mulgo, they look factory.

I have the crab bar. I'd prefer not to have it in the way of the rear load area (and in the way of third row passengers) but was the path of least resistance when i researched and cost me $600 which i thought was fair.
