    Not very happy

We'll just got a phone call from the dealer today

I placed a deposit for a dual cab 130 hcpu in April 2013
To garentee me one of the last defenders

Which I couldn't get till July 2014 as already had a vehicle that I had to keep till then.

The phone call just informed me that the premium seats I've chosen will not be happing and also that they will not be making any hcpu anymore so that won't be included.

No other options available for either of them

So does any one no we're I can get a nice set of seats that the bottom still are removable

You placed an order in April 13...!! I thought it was a max 6 month wait... I must have been lucky, I started looking for a new 130 hcpu in February 13 in grey, found one in Melbourne 3 weeks later in grey and screwed them for a deal for $48k..you must be keen to wait 12 months for a delivery..

Is the 130 HCPU just the tray/ute part or is it also the load rating?
The landcruiser and other 4x4's since their load rating is so poor have numerous sources to increase the load rating BEFORE rego as it is far cheaper, ARB, Pedders, TJM all offer kits as without these they cant fit a bulbar, winch and hook up the 3Ton horsefloat with any more than 2 people in the car.
If your looking for a higher load this may be the way to go, otherwise maybe an older 130 at a wreckers for the ute part.

    MY15 seats

I wonder if these MY15 seats would suit, either as a spare part or from the original manufacturer ?

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Be careful, not all Scheelman seats have removable bases. And Scheelman seats give a much higher seating position than standard or premium LR seats.
I have a friend with Scheelman seats in his Puma, and the difference in seating height with LR seats or with my SVX seats is very, very significant.

I don't actually understand this post...so what are you getting instead? because i was pretty sure a HCPU was standard on the 130 not an option?! or are you talking about the canopy to go on it?

my 130 HCPU is due to be delivered in around the 2nd week of July and we only ordered ours in Jan of this year, and as far as I'm aware its coming with everything we ordered??

So did your dealer mess up and not make the order early enough before the cut off date I wonder?
