I had buggered sills on the 110 - I just put cheq plate over it after bashing it into shape. Cost me 50odd from UK. Then again, I had the benefit of placing cheq all over the vehicle so it does not look out of place.

Just leave it - sills on a Deefer are a cosmetic bolt on.

Save your pennies for some sills - or buy some straight sills off someone who has fitted sliders if you have to do something in the interim.

You cant see it from where you're sitting , don't worry about it.
Pretty cars are for the benefit of the outside observer , you spend your money making your car look good for the benefit of others who bother to look at you , if they bother at all.

you Dont fix it. you go meh.

you bought a defender, and if you bought a defender because you are worrid about panel paint and fit then you, my friend, chose poorly.

I'm going to make up something very similar to these. Dings will not stand a chance.
Home made rocksliders - Land Rover Zone

Would be relatively cheap compared to purchased ones, and relatively simple to make.
Ideally mine will likely have some barwork welded to the RHS, for something to step up onto.

Not sure how structural the rear pipe outrigger on the 90 is though? I'd be wanting to use the Hi-Lift on the sliders.

I agree with Dervish , take the sill off , It will come off fairly easy , put It on something flat , a bit of timber use another bit of timber 4x2 and bang It back into shape , you will never get It perfect , but so what It's a Land Rover , When I brought mine 110 " second hand " It had dings all over the passenger door , I was told a calf put It's head through a fence and rubbed It's horns on the door , there still there It doesn't bother me one bit , It always makes for a good story , when having a chat with other Defender owners !!.. cheers Jim

Either leave it as-is, or borrow a welder, learn how to weld and make yourself some sliders. Less than $50 in materials for a D90.

Shame it's a 90, I've got left and right sills, with black checker plate sitting in the shed, from when I fitted Mulgo's sliders to the SVX.

I got my chequerplate from firsrtfouroffroad, they have a good range, for a 110 sills were 65 pounds plus freight. Or locally expedition centre (Mulgo)
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
