That is a beyond retarded amount to be quoted even when taking into account modifications, pitfalls, engineering costs.

Sounds like they gave you a "**** off" quote - they dont want the job...

I think they are for real, they went to a great length to try for a deal, to do the job im going to make a couple of enquires tomorrow. Would of done it today but im still in shock cheers.

For those of you that can "do things yourself" (I'm hopeless), and there are many very clever & resourceful people on here, it might sound like a lot of money, and it probably is.
However, "ya gets what ya pays for", and if this "conversion" was beautifully carried out to O.E. standards, properly & legally engineered, with everything "working properly", then it might be able to be justified.
Only thing I'd say is that the recipient vehicle would wanna be in very good condition to justify this expense, and also, are there any other engines around that would be preferable?
