Yes forward vision is strange sat in the back seats, if you a tall, or very tall like my son then you don't get to see much. Leg room is ok, but I will really need to get something for 8 bags of shopping to stop rolling about.
I've found a simple solution. No Passengers!
That being said, the rear seats aren't that uncomfortable. worst part is that you look straight into the horizontal pillar, and don't get much of a view unless you are a midget.
Side flares are tough enough. I've only managed to tear a bit of mine when I got it snagged on a tree root... but that was because it was pinched against the bull bar...

Well they look great!
A lovely Defender! :>))
Here's mine that I picked up today. Had Dick Cepek Fun Country's fitted to it with almost no fouling surprise! Tad bit of rubbing on full lock so will adjust them tomorrow. Handles a lot better with the 285's.
Got the sound pack, half leather, sun roof and side steps. Very happy!

That strip is galvanised.
You can also buy some fancy stainless steel door threshold strips from YRM and other companies to dress that area up.

Or for those with too much money, maybe these could be an option...
Don't look at the price of these if you have a weak heart...

After many trips through the "water crossing" at the Adventure Circuit at the Victorian 4wd Show this is the result. A bit of work cleaning up but nothing too dramatic and I had a great day as it seemed did my passengers on the day.
