    question regarding outback roof console

Guys I had one of these in the 110...

I would like to put one in the 130...has anyone fitted one to the 130??

is it the same model across the range fit wise or is there a model that is specific for the 130...
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

Terrafirma..looks like it uses the interior light from the car..I much prefer the outback LEDs and the spit driver passenger one in the front

G'day Dullbird, I see you have had an Outback console previously.
    Are they a quality product?
Is that flip down storage area usable?
Is the colour the same as the Landrover grey window surrounds?
Did you run your aerial cable back down behind the plastic trim either side of the windscreen, if so was there enough room?
How did you go cutting your sunvisors?

Hope you don't mind the questions, I want to fit a UHF and thought this is the neatest option.

    Thanks

    Mick.

    G'day guys,

If they are the same interior roof profile, I still have my old roof console (from Dept of the Interior) for sale - Daniel removed it when the pop-top was installed and a flat-profile one was put in its place.

I have an ad for it in the Marketplace so by all means check it out or PM or email me if you want me to send a few pics. robert.warren@macquarie.com

It's in great condition, I had it made for me with a nice big 'cargo net' area, two rotating map lights, two 12v sockets, a space for UHF and mounts for a winch remote and UHF handset.

My apologises to Dullbird for answering this question.
I have the outback RC in grey. IMO it looks like a standard fitting. Colour is very close, if not spot on and the cables do run down the insides of the pullers so are very neat. They only just poke though the headlining to the forward edge of the RC. but you can't see them once the mirror is in place. The visors where modified by sending them to Outback and this cost me $70 but I'm told most auto trimmers could do it. I preferred to send to outback as I reasoned that they must have done a few where as my local trimmer might not have.
The tray is very useful, it's a great place to put the UHF and the LEDs really light up the front/rear. Well worth the money IMO.

    Cheers

It's probably worth being aware that Outback's original trimmer has retired and they have someone new doing it - I was the proto customer and, while it's not a crap job, I was expecting better.

The console itself is a good thing - looks integrated and has survived lots of corrugations without issue.
