    Defender 110 Rear window

Hi all. I have had the unfortunate circumstance of loosing my glass in the back door. I have a replacement. Does anyone have any experience in doing the replacement? I was thinking of just using Sikaflex and sticking it back in.
I also installed a spare wheel carrier to prevent this from happening! I assume the glass may have had a previous problem.

Did that before, it is a simple a straight forward DIY job.

first undo the small screws holding the aluminum braces holding the glass to the door frame.
Clean the area from the factory seal, the area where the new glass will be placed should be very clean from dust and debris.

place two small rubber pieces (2mm thickness) on the lower horizontal part of the door frame to support the new glass.

Ask for someone's help to hold the glass in place after you install it on the door frame.

Start by putting the braces back in place and tighten the small screws.

once done, place paper tape on the exterior side of the door's window frame to protect the paint.

Fill the space between the glass and the door frame with an acid free silicon caulk sealant.

Voila that's it. I hope that it was clear.
