    Rear cargo dimensions for 110?

    Hello all,

Can someone please tell me the measurements in the rear of an older 110. The one im looking at is a tdi. Im particularly after floor to roof, side to side and rear of the back seat to the inside of the tail gate door.
Im trying to convince myself I dont need a 130 and a 110 will work.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Michael.

These are from my County, but the Defender will be pretty close to the same.

    Floor width - 90cm

Top of seat to door - 100cm (subtract handle and wiper motor, add more as you get closer to floor.

    Floor to roof - 115cm

Door opening is a little less than floor width, and is 105 high in the middle, but note top corners are rounded. Opening is restricted by the door, but disconnecting the door stay and opening it wider removes this restriction, although there is still some restriction by the stay fittings and the lock striker plate. In addition to what JD supplied, the following sketches may be of use

Interestingly, the lower wall to wall dimension (sideways) is rarely quoted - I think its just over 1.5m

This was from someone else on the forum, i got a 110 but would have liked a 130, what you gain in storage you lose in off road capability, and daily ease.

By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

While we are talking storage space in a 110, a large size wheelie bin will fit in the back standing up....handy to know when you need to take your own rubbish to the tip on the weekends.

Can we calc the number of boxes of wine on a winery crawl, do you run out of space or weight first

I figure about 1.76 cubic liquids with the back seat in place for the designated drunks.
