reachjatt, well it's not beyond the realms of possibility that it wouldn't look something like that?
Pickles.
New Zealand dealers have apparently closed their books on the Defender no more new cars can be ordered in so the end of an era here at least.![]()
Guys if this thread is going to start talking about the end of the production as the main subject I'm just going to merge it with the thread in the sticky
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
I think the latest defenders will meet the same fate as the Series 3 models - new car comes along and is better and let's be honest, whilst we love them mainly for sentiment there are a lot of design defects that should have been fixed decades ago - how many cars are built for 60 years and still leak like a sieve in the slightest bit of rain??
The new defender is supposedly going to be all aluminium and stronger than the existing ones - even if it is a cross over between the current Def and Disco it should be better than both current models - I see little investment value myself. Collectable cars are a quirky business and you need to have broad appeal to see a car appreciate in value - just my 2 bobs worth![]()
Yeah, we prob need a 1,2,3 finish at Bathurst, and that's not going to happen, unless we pray for 500 mm of snow,![]()
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.
