D90 and D1 tyre challenge: Cooper VS BFG

Hi recently put 235/85 Cooper ST Maxx's on my D90, and my friend put the same size BFG A/T's on his D1. We decided to see how far we could get in a muddy paddock and up a hill. We were surprised that both trucks were dead even... the twin lockers in my truck didn't make any difference as when we hit the uphill part all 4 wheels were turning.

Pretty impressed with the BFGs not giving anything away (and secretly worried the D1 may have gone further if it was wearing the Coopers!). The Coopers do look good on the D90 though

I saw some Cooper 265/75 R16's on a 110 the other month, and have been thinking about putting them on my 90 once I wear out the set that came with it.... As I have only done 1800Km, I am going to have to wait about 18 months to wear them out.....

    Those 265 looked pretty impressive....

How about some pic's of the 235's fitted? I may not worry about going up a size.

    Cheers,

I have a Runva 9500. I love it, pulled me out of a fair bit of trouble already. What I like is that it has wireless remote (cable back-up too) and it came with dyneema rope... will never ever go back to steel rope. I got my bar off m-m4x4 for 200 pounds, and that again for delivery. I wanted the swivel recovery hooks as always loved the look of them and they are very strong.

You make me laugh,I bought my bar from MM at half Oz retail delivered to Newman and I want to run a Runva with dyneema to save weight,I have an excellent 8274 in the shed but it simply won't fit. Pat

    Hi Pat,

What tyres are you presently running on your truck, and how have you rated them so far?

    Cheers,
    Nige
