    Rodding verses new radiator

My Defender gets hot occasionally, mostly when towing, but only a little and when I back off it doesn't get any hotter. My radiator has never been out since new (1998 326,000km) and I am wondering whether it would be more economical to have someone take it out and rod it, or just buy a new one and install it myself. I was thinking of an Allisport one, but there are similar ones for a third of the price.

I just noticed the title. Verses, as in music. I can't seem to edit the title.

I'd take it to a radiator place and ask if they think it is in good enough condition to have it rodded.

I've had good experiences with rodding my '95 radiator and getting the "tropical mod" done at the same time See here http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130...pical-mod.html
