My 110 TD5 in open road with only myself and some equipment on it (around 200 kg) got 9,1 l/100 km really caring about the throttle (max 90 kph)..... normal use in my city (sea level) gives me 10,3, and driving hard on the road (100-120 kph), it goes to 10,5... it's not bad at all, our Mazda 626 2003 2.0 goes for 14 l in the city (using A/C) and 9 l in economic road driving...

    TD5

The best average that I've got is 9.5 in a TD5 in the outback never going above 90km/hour fully loaded. However we average between 10.5 and 11.5 on most trips depending how many km i do above 100km/hour.

I personally feel there is a sweet spot around 80-90km/hour in the td5 where there is less noise, and amazing fuel efficiency..

Yes our D1 Tdi auto was happiest around 95 in 4th, but the Defender 2.4 seems happiest at 100km/h in sixth.

Well, for my 95 300tdi 130 HCPU, three figures for today:

    No trailer 11l/100km.
    Tandem car trailer 14l/100km
Tandem car trailer and Disco 17l/100km

That has been pretty consistent last 8 years....

For my Perentie 110 with a turbo I use 14-15 lt/100 when loaded and 12-13 lt/100 km when empty. I usually sit on 90-100 kph.

I get much better in the tdv8 RR 😋.
    L322 tdv8 poverty pack - wow
