If it makes you feel better, my defender didn't calm down until about 100,000km.
But it didn't need a heart transplant!

All BS aside, I hope you get Bear back and your faith in it soon!

Engine arrived in a crate from Sydney on Friday.

They started install and prep then and are I believe in possession of MOST parts!..

Hey, If this doesnt work do you think I can choose what colour I get a replacement Bear in??

Seriously though the hope is that end of the week all should be done and OK. Will be good to be back in the defer ..

Didnt go away as planned on October l/we as didnt have my car to take, bit disappointing as I dont get too many long weekends off.. Oh well, lifes like that I 'spose.

On the up side, driving the freelander 2 around has helped me make money... Ive bought scissors and a brush as everyone asks if Im a hairdresser!!! (ducks and giggles as obviously baiting others on forum is likely to get flamed!!)

PS: Not sure why I narrated the last bit like a piece of lost Goon Show!!Sorry!

Max (or agent 86 as he is known here)deserves a CSC for his efforts..

Im not sure if you knew he could read, just before he was "planted" with you I was walking down the street with him and he stopped and read a sign that said 'WET PAINT" and then he did.

    cheers!

Interesting when my SDV6 had a melt down LRA sent a long engine for the replacement.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

A mate at work has started referring to Bear as "Oscar"

I asked why and he says its after Oscar Pistorius!

when questioned he trotted out, "Cause I doubt we'll see it run again"

    mongrel!
