			Wiring cig socket for fridge

Hi does anyone know the best place to tap in to wire
Socket for engel fridge in cargo area. Is there provisions already behind the
Panels or do I cut in, or do I wire straight to battery. Any help appreciated before I start pulling things apart and start drilling holes

					Hi
I doubt existing wiring will suffice. I would be lookingat new heavier wiring, fused at the battery, and running through some sort of dual battery isolator.
 Cheers

			fridge wiring

Older Engel fridges can draw up to 60amps momentarily on start up. Havent had anything to do with newer Engels. Any fridge with a Danfoss will draw about 40-50amps on start up. A standard cigarette socket is not heavy enough, A Merret plug is far better. I would personally put 60-80amp wiring in due to current drop over the distance from battery.
