Weeping Puma Power Steering box. Access?

Seems I have a weeping Power Steering box:

If I drive it every day it seems not to leak, but if I leave if unused for a week or so, it leaks.

I've taken off the top/front engine cowling to try and go in from the top and see if a nut needs to be nipped up, but can't get access to it at all. There is a big "half round" plastic shroud between the radiator and the fan, and I can't work out how to remove that, as there are other things attached to it.

Any hints on how to get access to the PAS?

    Thanks
    David

Easiest way is to take the fan off, take off the top radiator hose & expansion tank hose just above it and then remove the shroud.

At the front (bottom) of the shroud hard against the radiator there are two clips that hold the shroud onto the radiator surround, these need to be pushed back to unclip them.

Just be careful when pulling the shroud out as the bottom radiator hose sits in a bit of a loop underneath the shroud.

The hardest thing is taking the fan off.

    Mike.

Edit: just remembered, on the passengers side of the vehicle, the shroud has a clip holding the clear plastic "Y" piece hose between the top and bottom radiator hoses. This also needs to be unclipped (it is part of the shroud). This can be unclipped from underneath the vehicle.

    N.B: this is on a 2013 model 2.2.

    Mike.

    Thanks for that Mike.

Didn't want to hear that the fan has to come off, but there you are!

    Mine is a 2.4 from 2007.

I've got some Penrite Semi-Synth PAS Fluid on order from Repco (they only had Transmax Z in 4L containers) so I'll pick that up tomorrow and take another look.

    Cheers
    David
