Fixes under warranty that you werent told about.

I just realised today that i haven't heard any backlash from my 110 for a long time. I can't even make the car create that horrible backlash sound. Also I realise that it doesnt do the over revving thing either anymore. Unfortunately it still leaks like a teabag from the front wheel hubs.

When I had a transfer case leak, LR needed my car for 2 days to fix it but ended up with the car for 2 weeks. Would this have been when they fixed the backlash problem and the over revving issue between gear changes??
Has anyone else been suspicious of things LR tell them they are fixing but dont believe them and wonder if they are actually fixing a much bigger problem. Now they want to take measurements of something around the hub seals before they fix them and want my car again for 5 days, but they say they are only replacing the seals.

Useless question I know but my curiosity does get the better of me. I shouldn't complain because they are honouring warranty and always have but it would be nice to actually know whats going on with the car.

I had dropped my 110 in for a CDL issue, and got a call from the service lead to say no problems found. Fair enough, maybe it was me, so I asked to go for a drive with the tech who looked at the car to confirm.

Lo and behold, the tech said they tweaked something that resolved the issue.

Sure the outcome was the same, but given it was a warranty repair anyway I can't see why I was told "no issue".

So maybe ask for a drive with the tech so you can demonstrate what you want fixed?

They solved my over revving thing/ stuttering gearchanges on my 130 2.2 after I requested an update to the the ECU.

Maybe they tweaked the firmware on yours?
