Driving a Defender 130 with the tailgate down

As the heading states, I carry a bit that requires me to have the tailgate down... anyone come up with any clever solutions to have the numberplate swing down beside just riveting the plate to a hinge on the tailgate

    Cheers

Get one of the plate mounts from a series. They're designed to swing down to remain visible with the tailgate down

never taken much notice of a 130 plate..cant you just put it in the same place as a 90 or 110..I have a 110 dual cab mine is in the same spot as a wagon, doesn't interfere with the tail gate..got me curious next I see 130 will have to look at the plate location..

Tailgate on hcpu is wider than that of a 110 dual cab. The dual cab gate is same as a wagon I am thinking.
