I thought I has a rattle in the C pillar seat belt area in the 130 . After much searching and finding several other bits to tighten, the rattle appears to have been coming from the floor plate bolts at the middle of the passenger side rear door.
Since tightening these bolts no more noise ! Yeh!

Lucky bastards!! I have approximately 1749 rattles somewhere between the bullbar and the towbar. I have given up trying to find them, and admitted defeat. Tempted to start wearing ear plugs whilst driving, just to make me feel better!!

Trundle, making a huge assumption you and your 1749 rattles are not in a Puma - you might have hit on the clear defining trait of Puma Owners:

They are the Defender owners looking for that ONE rattle....

The door latch or striker noise is hard to replicate as well. Everything feels rock solid, but the "thunk" sound is there every now and then...

Damo, I imagine you're talking about these...? Great product for many other reasons as well!

    X-Trouser Door Strikers (Pair)

Mine is a daily drive and I've in the past lost 2 expensive suits through having torn pockets...!

    Cheers,

MY2012 HCPU 110. The knocking (or rattle or whatever) from the B pillar on passenger side started about three days after we drove out of the dealership, certainly within the first week of ownership. The Land Rover's been back under warranty to sort this annoying rattle four times since purchase, and they've never fixed it. A pain when its such a long drive into Darwin

Thanks to this thread I can't wait to get home and look at the door latches and rotate the little plastic sleeve bit.

That's why this Forum and Land Rover owners are so awesome.

    Thanks lads (and ladies)

    Alan

My knock came back this afternoon. I turned the sleeve on the door striker again; knock gone. I think I might have to invest in a set of X-trouser latches.

My 2010 started doing this same noise in the last two weeks. Was starting to wonder what it could be as it was nothing obvious. Seemingly random knock but usually on a rougher section of road. Rotated the sleeve and all fixed . Gotta love this forum. Group buy sounds like a good idea as I keep getting hooked to.
