    vacuum pump core plug size

    Can anyone tell me the vacuum pump core plug size? and are they available here? Mine is leaking like hell at the moment. Or can I seal the original? (not my preference) I don't think I can wait to get a new pump from the UK and I'm reluctant to pay the high local prices.

    The last post in this thread maybe interesting to you, about honing out the Welch plug hole to a standard size.

    Anyways, I seem to remember that the welch plugs were 22mm, but not 100% sure.

    Thanks 90@, On pulling my pump to bits, I discovered that the lower poppet valve was lying cockeyed and a tiny spring and washer rattling 'round in the main cylinder. I'm pretty sure something is missing so have ordered another pump. I was able to get 22mm core plugs from repco (stock item), but after much web reading and measuring, I think 7/8ths" (22.22500mm) would be a tighter fit if available.
