Well my tray is well and truly mounted, so that ship has sailed. But he does have an interesting thread.
Nice truck you have there fella and a great colour too........:D:D
Well I got it done at last. Pretty happy with the result.
Anyone else fitting the N type electrics socket in the crossmember, do yourself a favour and chuck the supplied mounting bolts and get some black, panhead self tappers instead. Drill pilot holes to suit and drive the screws in.
Through stupidity and or stubborness, I perservered with getting the nuts tightened on the supplied bolts. Self tappers would have saved an hour or more.

The end result looks pretty good though and the socket is well protected in the crossmember

Awesome idea with the fly screen , I always wondered why they didn't make the seat bracket with that extra inch, I also unbolted mine but they rattled over every bump, so I needed to totally remove brackets.
concrates on the new truck looking great, exciting times, I've only had mine for 3 week but I can't wait to start her up every morning they just have a amazing presents and feel, not sure if it just the novelty hasn't worn off but i hope it never ware's off. My wife prefers to drive her over our freelander 2.
Ahh good idea on removing the seat brackets...mine have been rattling too. Thanks for the tip!
It would have been so easy for them to make a frame behind the grill to slide a screen into. Mine works well and i can slide out the bottom without removing the grill.
The cruise control turned up today. I'm looking forward to trying this one out.

Installed the cruise control yesterday. Wow it makes the 130 a pleasure to drive on the highway now.
Not having to constantly watch the speedo really does increase the enjoyment from driving. Makes it safer too I reckon, more concentration on looking out the windows.
Installation wasn't overly difficult, just fiddly. There were a few wire splices to do, one at the clutch switch, two at the brake switch and one at the instrument cluster.
The accelerator wiring is all plug & play, no splicing.
I can highly recommend putting cruise control in a puma, even after just a short 80km test run.

Very nice build. Just keep a close eye on those tray mounting points, more so if you do some hard road miles. My 110's tray was mounted very similar and it managed to crack each of the factory tabs it was bolted to. I found out later that it was too rigid. Should only be bolted front and rear and only be resting on the intermediate points. But yours may be shorter than the 110 tray.
Cheers Scott
Hi Beery,
Just wondering which cruise control you got and from whom?
