Thread: Federal or Kumho

I have Federal 285/75 16s, Been used as an off road set only for over 3 years. Having read posts about their noise, I'm a bit confused. I run them at 40psi on road, and they are whisper quiet for such an aggressive tread. Unlike the Kumho, not being directional, they can easily be rotated to extend their life. I have never had Kumho, so I'm unable to comment on their performance. The Federals are amazing up here in the tropical clay/mud.

Bugger!!

I noticed a bit of a rythmic vibration recently.
I just noticed my rear tyre 35x12.5R17 Federal Couragia MT is stuffed, this tyre has done about 35k

its got 3 radial splits , failure rather than damage.
