Figured I should join in the conversation since it's my car - although Lone Ranger wants to 'share' and take many long turns at driving it :)
It's the whole package and that when you drive a Defender it's like nothing else matters. Time doesn't matter, worries don't matter. You know the journey won't be quick so you just enjoy it.
I tried to explain this to my female co-workers but they don't understand why I'd think that a brand new car with virtually no electric features, that you know that something's worked when you hear the clunk and where you have to slam the doors so they close, and that has a little leak when it rains heavily could be so great!
Thankfully there are a few guys around who I can talk to who understand, even if they are insanely jealous...
I do wonder what people must have thought on all those cold winter mornings seeing me driving this big car (the 110) dressed like an eskimo with the windows down and singing along to Queen blasting from the stereo :angel:
